Weatherization

INCA Weatherization Program

What is Weatherization?

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce awards grant funds to non-profit organizations for the purpose of improving the energy efficiency of low-income homes statewide. These programs also provide for training and technical assistance in the area of housing energy efficiency. Funds for these programs come from the US Department of Energy as well as The Department of Human Services. INCA Community Services Weatherization Program provides assistance for families who are unable to pay high utility bills by ensuring that their homes will have improved energy efficiency after the weatherization is completed. Low income families save an estimated 25% on their energy bills, making more of their income available for other uses. This is achieved by stopping air infiltration through the weatherization process.
